Indywood Winter Update

Hello! Before the year wraps up, we wanted to update you--what’s Indywood doing?

Amazingly, we’ve been at it for 6 months now. What have we built? What are we doing now?

  • Art House Movie Theater. In a magical “art house” on Saint Claude Ave., we’ve screened some amazing Louisiana films and planted the seeds for a full Bike-In Theater season next spring. For now, we’re staying cozy by the Theater fires for January’s showings of “Water Like Stone” and “Tchoupitoulas.”
  • We’re moving online. Our wonderful programmer is working away on our Online Movie Theater, and come January, you should be able to access a library of the best Louisiana films of the past 30 years. Some can already be found online for free--check 'em out.
  • Flirting with the SEC/prepping for equity crowdfunding. We’ve built an amazing team to help us face the regulatory and legal obstacles of the burgeoning crowdfunding industry, including two attorneys and an investment banker. They’re confident we can put NOLA on the map for crowdfunding for equity and film.
  • We’ve been written about. Check out the Indywood Buzz
